So I have two versions of XP on my computer, and when I reboot I have to choose between the two. Well, I never use one of the two and my memory is shrinking. How do I get rid of the other OS?

Create a bootdisk, and run fdisk, and delete the par ion. Only if you can afford losing any information you have on that par ion. Or you can use Par ion magic

    nope.

The thing is, the par ion I want to delete is the original (C that contains XP.

as longa s you can boot from both par ions, you can delete one. You will lose everything on it. You can then make a new par ion under disk manager in windows and use the space.

I think from the XP you want to keep, you can reformat the par ion you want to delete. I don't remember what Control Panel allows you to do this.

    Measure twice, cut once.

In the end you'll wish you went with a clean install.

Back up your essential data, write zeroes to the drive and install squeky clean. Especially if you have had the original OS for some time.

I doubt the memory issue is caused by a dual boot, so a clean install should solve this problem.
