LeBron tomorrow night
Would you believe I actually googled Arman Gilliam? And I came across this (5 years after the fact):
http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketb...n=ncaab,wp3627
Apparently, he died while playing basketball.
So, who all has died on the court? I got:
Reggie Lewis
Hank Gathers
Arman Gilliam
Pistol Pete
Hank Gathers made it famous, it should be "Hank Gathering it." May he RiP.
Man, 90's NBA ball would have been that much more fun had he played 10-15 years in the NBA. He could have been the difference for some contender like the Jazz, Suns or Pacers though as a high draft pick, he could have ended up being wasted on the Kings, Mavs (in the 90's) or Clippers. His sidekick Bo Kimble barely made an NBA impact.
That was awful. I remember seeing the replay over and over again on ESPN. Really started to root for LM for the rest of the year and that crazy playoff run where Jeff Fryer went nuts from 3 point range and crushed Michigan. Then Bo Kimble shooting his free throws left handed. Can't remember for sure but I think he took and made some of them in key situations or games.
