A couple things. The spurs would have a better summer league team if we wanted to. We pulled our best two year player because he was too dominant. We invited a 40 yr old to play after being out of basketball for years. Compare that to the Lakers, this summer team is there actual team!
We don't have enough roster spots to really justify having a stacked summer team. We turn away players because we can't showcase them. Everyone wants the spurs player development.
