He would've taken one had he played for a sh** team. What's the difference besides the symbolism? He should've just taken the damn ring. Nobody really cares, tbh.
Seems like it is a no brainer.
However, in
todays NBA
still good to see someone not cave into the Me Me Me persona and take it.
Anderson Varejao has a right to receive an NBA championship ring after spending part of the season with the Cleveland Cavaliers. But he has no plans to accept one as a current member of the Golden State Warriors, who lost to the Cavs in the NBA Finals.
Varejao appeared in more regular season games with Cleveland this past season than he did with Golden State.

I would have taken it and sold that on eBay...dude is just not smart![]()
He's also not a broke ass dude in his mid to late 20s who lives in his mom's basement like you, so it's not like he needs the money![]()
an NBA millionaire logging himself into ebay
I would have taken it on GP. He's helped the Cavs organization for a loooong time. Anyone say he don't deserve it is a re .
shouldnt kirby also hand back a gold medal for coatriding to a medal, +2 championships off gasol? fkn coatriders man
I wonder if Blatt's going to accept a ring. I feel for him, a Jew coaching in Istanbul as ISIS sympathizer Erdogan begins his purge of all everything secular in the nation.
Those rings are worth 10-15k minumum. He just said no to money

His career earnings are 72 million.
I appreciate what Varejao did for the Cavaliers when he was here, but the bottom line (to me) is that he's currently employed by the team that the Cavaliers had to beat to win the le. That's enough for me to not give him a ring. If he played for someone other than Golden State I might feel differently.
, Shaun Livingston and Mo Speights played for the Cavaliers. So did Steve Kerr for that matter. I wouldn't give them rings either.
Outside of donating the ring to charity the guy can't win here.
Not only did he not play for them in the playoffs, he was part of the team trying prevent the Cavs from winning a ring (to get one for himself).
& it doesn't help that he's white. That means Media can take off after him without an ounce of hesitation.
