A strong third party isn't allowed in practice since the president is elected by congress if there is a third party strong enough to keep both candidates from 270.

One reason why the electoral college is bull . How many people vote for the lesser of two evils because their vote will basically be disregarded otherwise?

Back to my point though, one more conservative candidate on the ballot will just make it that much harder for Trump to win individual states.
