Bolt could win the 200m in 2020. And that is where his energies need to be. He is far superior to the rest of the world in that event. There he has plenty of time to unwind that 6-5 stride and he has that outer worldly SE. While his days of running that amazing sub19.40 stuff are over, he can still win running 19.70ish.
What seperates Bolt from everyone else is the unique way he started out. He spent years running the 400/200m, he trained for the long sprints. So when he finally did start running the 100m he came to the event on a whole other SE level. And if ya saw the Olympics you saw a perfect example of why he wins. He doesn't decellerate like others do. Having the superior SE he is able to sustain/maintain a higher % of his max velocity longer. So we get this illusion that he is coming on, when in reality he is decellerating at a slower pace.
Could Bolt have ever played in the NFL? If all he was asked to do is an Alvin Harper impersonation (just run fast and I'll throw it high) then yes he could have. If asked to run routes, make cuts....nope~~~
