No, not awkward, it happens all the time but he actually coached them for 1 1/2 seasons before Lue took over. Guy deserves some credit for building a champion, they might have still won it anyway with Blatt as head coach still instead of Lue. He should look at that ring as I played a big part of building a championship team, something to be proud of.
