That speech was so full of illogical holes it made me laugh. It is sad really, when a president tries to lead the nation by the hand.
Just ignore the huge elephant in the room and walk right this way!
U.S. Has Disrupted 10 Al Queda Attacks
President Bush said today the United States and its allies have disrupted at least 10 serious plots by the al Qaeda network in the last four years, as he sought to rally the nation against international terrorists and warned foreign governments against supporting them.
In what the White House billed as a major speech, Bush told the National Endowment for Democracy in Washington that of the "10 serious al Qaeda terrorist plots" that he said have been disrupted since the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, three involved "al Qaeda plots to attack inside the United States."
He added, "We've stopped at least five more al Qaeda efforts to case targets in the United States or infiltrate operatives into our country."
Bush did not elaborate.
Great news and I support the war on terror. Now if he'd only give us some Iraq strategy that will get us the out of there.
That speech was so full of illogical holes it made me laugh. It is sad really, when a president tries to lead the nation by the hand.
Just ignore the huge elephant in the room and walk right this way!
You're gonna see what you're gonna see Manny! Try looking out of "both" eyes instead of the left or right.
Did he say anything about the change in the Iraqi cons utional elections?
Bush.
someone must have told him he was low in the polls.
Someone tell me ONE DAMN THING THIS IDIOT HAS DONE WELL during his presidency????
Number of senators who voted to set new limits on interrogating suspected terrorists : 90
Forty-six Republicans joined 43 Democrats and one independent in voting to define and limit interrogation techniques that U.S. troops may use against terrorism suspects, the latest sign that alarm over treatment of prisoners in the Middle East and at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, is widespread in both parties. The White House had fought to prevent the restrictions, with Vice President Cheney visiting key Republicans in July and a spokesman yesterday repeating President Bush's threat to veto the larger bill that the language is now attached to -- a $440 billion military spending measure.
Good news.
For starters, piss you off apparently.
you are too logical. it will be your downfall.
get our of your own way, man.
IT IS NOT SAD WHEN A PRESIDENT TAKES HIS NATION BY THE HAND!
funny you should use the symbol, HUGE ELEPHANT. They symbol for the Republican Party, and a VERY STRONG ANIMAL, THAT IS VERY VERY GOOD LUCK!
whereas the dems have a stubborn donkey...
Coincidence? I think NOT!
you are really racking up those MINUS points bro...why the hate?
1st thing. Brought this country through 9/11 and is taking out all the bad guys in the world that want to create another one.
2nd thing. Liberating Afghanistan and Iraq. The people will be free of terror and will have wonderful lives for generations to come.
3rd thing. Helping to Make a Roadmap 4 Peace between Israel and the Palestinians become REALITY. Helping to establish a Palenstinan State.
4th thing. Helping to raise standards of education for the young and security for the elderly...IF the lobbyists with personal interests would just gtfo of the way!!!
so go chew on those and don't be afraid of the LIGHT!
Manny, I wished you would do as much research on this problem as you do on hurricanes. You impressed me with you knowledge on hurricanes and depress me on your knowledge of what we must accomplish on our war on terror. He made alot of sense to me, if you will go back and see what he has said from the very beginning, it is going to be long, tedious and some of what goes on will not be known. All of which is true. We are not fighting a country with a government but a bunch of "wannabe's". We have been in a war for many years before Bush came into office, just that no one else had enough balls to face the facts. WTC was attack twice, the barracks in Saudi Arabia was attacked, The cole was attacked and I can't spell the other place in Ethiopa (sp). Come on get real.
More terrorists were created, and the ethnic tribes of Iraq are not to fond of each other.
Israel now has it's sights set on Iran's nuclear ambitions...and is willing to act on them.3rd thing. Helping to Make a Roadmap 4 Peace between Israel and the Palestinians become REALITY. Helping to establish a Palenstinan State.
[QUOTE=Israel now has it's sights set on Iran's nuclear ambitions...and is willing to act on them.[/QUOTE]
It is called self-preservation. I wished we would show a little more of it here in the United States.
wrong, the bad guys from 9/11 weren't in Iraq.
wonderful lives???
read up on how many ppl are dying there. Generations are being massacred.
wrong. There will never be peace between Israel and Palestine.
doubt me now, you'll DIE A BELIEVER.
you guys just like the dark...i show you a flashlight and you run the other way...
what are you scared of? what are you really running from?
when was the last time any of you doubters took a chance in YOUR LIVES?
is FEAR keeping you From Realizing YOUR DREAMS?
stop lying to yourself. WAke Up!![]()
Good post...but I still have my doubts.
yeah I doubt you. And you'll die first when your flashlight battery runs out![]()
i could die tomorrow, even today, right now...but your already dead so what difference does it make...you got me beat.
no coincidence that you started that sentence yeah or that you have middle earth in your le...or that your have a man that worshipped marijuana as your avatar. Why don't you see if you can learn more about Cheech Marin the MAN. You might be suprised.
and my flashlight doesn't run on batteries brother.![]()
Actually I heard that Cheech Marin was NOT into the herb but it was Tommy Chong but I could be wrong.
But I don't judge others by their past for I know people can change and I know many very nice people who indulge in booze, sex, drugs and rock 'n roll.
Wassup BigZak!!!!??
If you define being dead to you for not following bush, then yes my brother, I'm six feet under happily pushing up daisys. Along with 50% of Americans and alot more foreigns.
Agree, no coincidence. Thankfully freedom still exists, yet. I'm thinking about adding the Devil to my sig? what do u think?![]()
Then it must run on oil. I understand your point of view then. Peace out homey.(oops forgot, you might not like peace either)
Thing is. You can't believe a word this guy says can you.
The lying, mother ing bas 's 2nd term and legacy is in floating around in the toilet. As soon as Fitz files the indictments, F L U S H !!
dubya must have been informed of how many and who Fitz is going to spear, he/Repubs are panicking, so playing the terror card today is a piss-poor, transparent attempt at a distraction, as a smoke screen as Fitz places his hand on the flusher.
dubya even dictates to his crony hacks to have the CIA/FBI to send up to (Repub) Bloomberg some tromped up to about an attack in NYC today.
The Repugs have no shame, not a microgram of honesty in the whole ing administration.
If this Repug theatre were base a political fiction book, everybody would say great drama, but totally unbelievable. But it's really happening.
And I see the Repubs, on the very same day, even paid off Louis Freeh to come out and to try trash Clinton on terrorism.
But Clinton wasn't president when Osama hit the World Trade Center.
These ing Repubs are ting in their pants and then throwing it against the fan to see if they can get it to stick to anybody else.
shrub/ head: 9/11 was YOUR ING RESPONSIBILITY, you and your crony political hack appointees in the FBI/CIA/NSA, completely under YOUR responsibility for 9 months in office, FAILED to defend the US against terror, now you're gonna pay the price.
And Congress is PILING ON!!

A New Barrage On Storm Response

Lawmakers from both parties sharply questioned nearly every aspect of the Bush administration's response to Hurricane Katrina yesterday, focusing their discontent on suspect contracts and eliciting a pledge that hundreds of millions of dollars in deals awarded with no compe ion would soon be put up for bid.
Nine House and Senate panels held hearings on hurricane relief, with a sense of frustration frequently bursting to the surface. Several members chastised administration officials, citing tales of small businesses in the Gulf states losing work to giants such as Halliburton Co. Others challenged administration stances on tax breaks and health care for the displaced.
........
Whoa!! AND, EVERYBODY's piling on poor little dubya for nominating an incompetent, unqualified, inexperienced crony sycophant Miers.

Conservatives Confront Bush Aides
Anger Over Nomination of Miers Boils Over During Private Meetings

The conservative uprising against President Bush escalated yesterday as Republican activists angry over his nomination of White House counsel Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court confronted the president's envoys during a pair of tense closed-door meetings.
A day after Bush publicly beseeched skeptical supporters to trust his judgment on Miers, a succession of prominent conservative leaders told his representatives that they did not. Over the course of several hours of sometimes testy exchanges, the dissenters complained that Miers was an unknown quan y with a thin résumé and that her selection -- Bush called her "the best person I could find" -- was a betrayal of years of struggle to move the court to the right.
