He also only played 8 minutes in their first preseason game and took only 2 shots. I wonder if he'll spend another season buried on the bench.

Probably had to tell him that a) The Spurs were never going to give him that money and b) He'd never play enough in SA to earn that contract again. That kind of stuff will encourage more players to sign with the Spurs in the future, and I have to think that Boban's international agent has the Spurs at the top of his priority list now that he's seen this.

Pop's honesty is refreshing and he was keeping the welfare of the player in mind... I wonder what he said to Dwest you know. . .
