Looks like Mike Monroe is still writing about the Spurs, just not for the Express News. Although the le is for 2015-16 Roster, he's actually writing about the new roster. It's a few days old, so not updated for the recent cuts:

Scouts rightly have a better opinion of Simmons than the amateurs.
Don't like to hear that Dedmon thinks he's better than he really is. Sounds like a problem.

Not sure what Simmons has done to warrant being called a "very tough defender".
Just read that, that's not a good sign. Hopefully he learns to concentrate on playing defense, blocking shots and rebounding. They seem to think he could be great in that role if he accepts it and realizes that's what his strengths are.
Did he get fired or something? He had been there forever it seems. Not in SA anymore so dont follow the local newspaper.
Sounds like he's going to have trouble with the league's substance abuse policy. I can't think of any other reason he would have such a high opinion of his game.
Just curious. What were they last year, when they won 67 games? Maybe a solid B?
on the Simmons front. I'd find out which team's Scott that is and offer Simmons to that team and let the scout talk him up to the team tbh Get a first!
everyone's C+ compared to the Dubs, who have 3 of the top 10 players in the league. This might be the most watered down season in NBA history
A lot of things in his scouting report are way off. He has cliches in there TBH.
A chasedown block after his TOs never fails to impress a scout. lol
