I was rewatching the game last night. I've never heard it so loud whenver our guys scored. Can you think of any other cities with this much fan support?

Nah, it's just the nature of the city. It's transient, and brings in people from everywhere in the country. It's like that any time I go to a Wiz, and to lesser extent, Nats game. Now hockey and football are another story.

thats how DC is...the people come and go. They don't have much support so the away fans can be heard clearly

There's not going to be any "fans" left in DC after Trump drains the swamp.

    Atlanta is similar.
But DC is probably the extreme

Brooklyn depending on the night. Against some foe they draw a partisan crowd. But there's always a strong visitor fan showing when Warriors, Spurs, Lakers and Rockets come to town to name a few. Knicks fans fill MSG a lot better.

Was at this game. Few thoughts.

    1) the cheers for the Spurs were as loud as they must've appeared on the broadcast. I can pinpoint the Simmons block as the singular loudest part....it was a huge roar.
    2) Spurs fans were concentrated around their team's bench, but pockets appeared in nearly every section on the 3 levels from my vantage point. (this was evident from seeing the clapping after Spurs' buckets).
    3) The Bullets have no fans whatsoever. The combination of how low energy their crowd was compared to the visiting team made the disparity even more glaring.
    4) Go Spurs Go chants were heard lowly from small groups, but once the bench area section all joined in, the audio of it trickled easy to even my nose bleed section. (the Bullets offset that one loud chant with the piped in organ sounds for defense)

Bottom line DC is easily the most friendly Spurs crowd out there, with (I'm guessing) Houston being the closest.

Again shout out to Jon Simmons - his personal highlight reel drew the biggest cheers of the night.

It is for me. I have family that lives there. Lots of love from that area because DRob went to Naval Academy and played high school ball in Virginia.

The three sections (121-123) hugging the San Antonio bench was 60-80% Spurs supporters.

I should've ponied up the dough to join them.

    Nice!!!

Would have gone too, but too busy thanksgiving schedule. Yes, Spurs fans usually dominant at the Verizon center. Feel sad for Wizards player who get booed in their home court!
