Phil can dish but cannot take.

NEW YORK -- Carmelo Anthony was visibly annoyed when asked about Phil Jackson's assertion that he has a tendency to hold on to the ball too long.
...
We've been playing great basketball, and that's the only thing I'm focused on. Whatever Phil said, he said it. I have nothing to say about that."
Phil going to the media again instead of just going through coaching. Never understood why this coattailer was thought of one of the greats.
Phil can dish but cannot take.
Phil Jackson, most overrated coach in sports history, won with stacked rosters filled with HoF/GOAT level players, takes over a project team and s the bed continually. lol kfc
To be fair, he did win with an overrated Jordan
He had MVP level Pippen, all star Rodman, Ron Harper, Kukoc, Kerr
True true
Say what you want about Phil but his laker career was impressive. He managed to win it all 5 times despite having the biggest cancer in NBA history on his team. Gotta respect that tbh
Phil never wanted Melo. He said everything he could in code to get him to leave NY, but Melo wanted dat money.
At least he's talking about his own players now.
Phil just told the truth. The problem is Phil shouldn't be commenting on it. That's Jeff's job and that's what Phil should say when asked. Phil thinks he's the architect of the triangle offense, for some re ed reason.
But he didn't call Melo a ball hog. That's just more "fake news" from a premier fake news site. Phil said the triangle relies on ball movement and if someone holds past 2 seconds, then it benefits the D. That's not calling Melo a ball hog.
MarshMello was going to be a free agent.
Phildo signed him up for 124 million guaranteed.
Not as stoopid as a Kirby signing, but then nothing is.
Among one of the worst contracts of All Time.
City of NY with the marketing possibilities, Phildo could have easily waited for a marquee player to become available.
In addition, league sources confirmed Anthony has a no-trade clause in his contract, which is rare in the NBA.
Not much respect for the Olympics all time leading scorer, rebounder, and games played. Also carried George Karl's sorry ass to the playoffs.![]()
Durant was the guy this year. Putting Melo at the 4 was effective with a great scoring 3. Causing matchup problems. And teams weren't good enough individually to exploit marshmelo's defense.
KFC should shut the up and trade Anthony. The sooner they become Porzingod's team the better.
He was in a tough spot. He didn't want to run him out of town as his first front office move, but all his comments were passive agressive in typical Phil fashion. He didn't want to him. He knows what kind of empty player Melo is.
Yea I think Phillip knew it was going to be the wrong move but had to bite the bullet. I give him some credit as a coach by playing the young unproven guys and making adjustments. He would have played Splitter early on in the season instead of waiting till the playoffs, he packed the paint against parker in 04 and told his guys to play that grab and hold D daring the refs to call fouls among other things.... still pop did win with different groups of players multiple times and didn't only coach teams ready to win championships...but pop always had Tim so we'll see.
Chinese league
They love that chuking piece of there![]()
If you asked me in the early 2000s, I would have never even fathomed that Pop would be viewed as the NBA's coaching God, while everybody under 35 sees Phil Jackson as a clown figure, tbh![]()
only a clown would try to on Phil Jackson's career. Greatest of all time, he has the victories against coach Popovich to prove it
Vietnam is a greater country than the US.
