China's next great bball player
They are trying to avoid what would have been a silly joke of Zaza Pachulia being the starting C last year, but also this might end the AllStar run for many TOSBs, declined ones (D'Wade, Melo etc..)

We've been disenfranchised. As long as we get the popular vote though that's all that matters. This is a whitelash I'm sure of it
How convenient after the bag Bryant retires...
Sucks for D'tective, if he ever gets to be decent enough... there's no way NBA players are going to vote for a snitch...![]()
50% still belongs to ballot stuffing public
25% belongs to moron media
I can't see this changing the bogus All Stars much.
Kirby will probably start again.
Holy..Forgot about that. Dray will have trouble getting in now..sadly.
Like' I've said this is the perfect arrangement for Kawhi in the long run..He actually got a good rep among players(real s like Boogie/Zbo/ Barnes not jealous pussies like Durbeta)..Last season, Leonard barely got in the starting spot despite the Spurs being on pace for 70-win-- that's is how potent the big market casual fan vote..
This change has to do with the Durant Rule...clearly.
Good players want to have the option to get big money, and they need to be selected for an All Nba team...so...social media voting for scrubs doesnt help them get that extra cash opportunity.
Should just let the fans decide tbh. Can't imagine fans being dumber than the players Re: talent level
All the Chinese fans were thisclose to getting Yi Jianlian voted into the All-Star Game over KG one year. They kept voting in Yao and Kobe as starters every year. This system is better.
I have to agree here. The players are far worse evaluator of talents. It's also going to be a buddy buddy system. Most of these players are awed by raw stats and highlight reel just like your casual fans.
Thats also a problem...since being selected to an All Star Team, makes a player qualify for the new Durant Rule Extension
Folks hating on Dominos for his beta decision should also help Kawhi.![]()
So apparently this happened
Unfortunately, the All-Star vote returns suggest that the players—as a whole—didn’t exactly commit maximum mental energy to the process, preferring instead to cast votes for wholly undeserving players who might be their teammates, friends or completely random. Or, worst of all, themselves.
How else do you explain 2016 No. 1 draft pick Ben Simmons receiving three votes without stepping foot on an NBA court this season? How else do you explain Mo Williams getting an All-Star vote even though he’s logged more trades (2) than minutes played (0) this season? How else do you explain Wizards rookie guard Danuel House receiving two votes even though he has played exactly one minute? Must have been one of a minute!Of the 324 players who voted, 128 did not vote for LeBron James and 154 did not vote for Kevin Durant, two seemingly obvious frontcourt picks. A large group of voters apparently voted for themselves, based on the number of role players who received one vote.
today's NBA
It's not gonna happen, but imagine if the public completely boycotted games for X amount of time.
Bring these en led assholes to their knees.
