Tell me where you was when Avery Johnson made that winning basket that gave the Spurs a NBA Championship ring after 25 years.

I was at the 50/50 bar on Broadway, for some reason I was stupid enough to go to down town San Antonio. I was stuck in traffic for 4 hours, And it was the best 4 hours of my life.
Fatso's Sports bar on Bandera.
My buddy Chris' house
I flew home to Bulverde so I wouldnt get shot, I thought SA was going to react like LA or Chicago and riot, especailly after almost 30 years!
Thankfully I was wrong
i was sitting in my kitchen eating nachos with Casa Ole hot sauce
Stuffing Tawara in a bag...oh wait, that never happened. Nevermind.
at allstars waiting for my girlfriend to get off work.
My friends house with a bunch of friends.
I was driving from College Station to San Antonio drinking a case of Natural Light with a couple of my buddies. We were listening to the game on the radio and as soon as AJ hit that shot, we pulled over and shotgunned 2 Natty's each. We drove into San Antonio about an hour later, drunk off our asses, honking and screaming through downtown.
Calling the NBA demanding that they add an asterix next to this tainted Spurs championship. Not only for it being a strike-shortened season, but for the way the Pacers were robbed in the Eastern Conference Finals. The Pacers were the best team in the league that year and would have surely swept to Spurs if it wern't for "Knick" Bevetta.
ain't nothing natural about that beer
I was at my brother's house jumping up and down, I even remember the commentator saying, "wow, that is a daggor!" I also recorded the game and have watched it many times along with the championship celebration! *sigh* memories...
At my old house in Kerrville rockin the ganj.
I had just moved to Santa Fe, so, sadly I wasn't able to join the celebration in SA. However, I had converted many of my dormmates to Spurs fans, and they helped me get wasted beyond belief...for about a week.
I was 15 and had just moved to a new neighborhood and I had my one friend over () ....he wasn't much of a Spurs or basketball fan though he was in the other room playing video games with my lil bro.. I didnt care though, I was so happy...ohh yeah I was watching it with my dad on the phone (he was watching it at his house) when they won he let out a WHOOO like damn after all these years they finally did it! The excitment of being a SPurs fan for like 30 years and then them finally winning it was something that us young guys will never know... but I still had waited all of my life to see them win it so I was so happy....
I was in Dallas, and so happy that they won..![]()

I didn't drink though, because I was pregnant with my daughter
Sweet.
I was already back home from C.S., and everyone in my immediate family and several friends were at the house watching the game. We all went ape as AJ hit the shot.
Addendum: I had to go to Scotland shortly thereafter for my new job with SLB Oilfield Service - I was the only guy in Scotland sportin' the fiesta colors with my championship hat.![]()
does anyone have a vid of this?![]()
I was on my couch watching the game. Then after it went in I was out on my front porch because my neighbors were out in the street screaming and I wanted to make sure that they weren't going to turn into a violent mob and burn my house down.
I was speaking in WV. I had to cut my speech short so I could watch the game!
I was at my girlfriends house at the time, just minutes away from downtown so I could go crazy after the win.
At this point are you still talking about basketball? :p
