It means nothing if you're the VP. Getting it as a citizen is one thing but , you're a VP. You don't need to ever mention it on your resume.

Obama has diminished the value of that medal so much, tbh. I read somewhere he's responsible for like 20% of the medals given out in total.
Yeah, he has been giving them out like candy but this one was his first "with distinction" medal awarded. Bush & Clinton only did that once each as well.
