Today's NBA
Twitter beef is usually reserved for rappers, but this week, two NBA players got into it.
Portland Trail Blazers guard C.J. McCollum and Memphis Grizzlies forward Chandler Parsons exchanged words on Twitter Friday night (Jan. 27), which began with a tweet from the Trail Blazers’ official account.
The team tweeted out a video of Parsons shooting an air ball on a 3-point attempt during Portland’s 112-109 victory on Friday, garnering a reply from Parsons.
Good luck in the lottery show this year,” he wrote.
After Parsons fired off the shot, McCollum offered a response: “We hit the lottery by not signing you.”
ESPN notes that the Memphis forward has struggled with injuries and inconsistent play, after signing a four-year, $94.4 million deal with the Grizzlies in the offseason. This season, he’s averaging career lows of 6.7 points and 1.9 rebounds per game.
2 overrated kents talking to stay relevant in the media?
TBH you can't talk with a losing record. Lol guest.
Parsons come back was on point too.
"Technically, I hit the lottery"
I mean, kind of a dig at himself considering he acknowldged his contract was not deserved
I agree he took a two piece ...but not a bad attempt to save face ...
Yep. That too
The Blazers official feed mocking Parsons like that is unprofessional. If someone with a verified personal profile wanted to do that, then so be it. But faceless pricks behind a screen doing a marketing job for an organization have no business doing that.
Fair argument
Today's NBA where you get a max contract for being white.![]()
