I'm 2k17, he looks like defensive type guy, going by his stats. Can hit a open 3..... Greens replacement.
He can't shoot..he's worse than Simmons, overall, right now..
But his defense.... Is that any good?
Ya, he's a solid defender, but so is Simmons..
I would take Johnson on the Spurs for his potential, but it's a move that could pay off in 2-3 years IMO, not for this season..
Green took a pay cut to stay with the Spurs. What kind of message would the Spurs send if they traded him? Hey, take a pay cut so you can be a better asset if a trade opportunity comes along. Not gonna happen.

Spurs aren't going to replace any starters or key bench players..the only move they could potentially make is for a Simmons or Anderson replacement..
Parker/Green/Leonard/Aldridge/Gasol/Manu/Mills/Dedmon or Lee(depending on the matchup) with a few minutes going to Simmons/Anderson is going to be the rotation..any potential move would be for the future or to replace Simmons/Anderson as the 4th wing..

It's good to hear RC is making calls... but he's not going to part with a rotation player and that is probably the extent of the phone calls.
Don't be surprised. Anyone really think Spurs don't make calls every year to try to improve their team? PATFO are never content.. tbh... I'd be shocked if they didn't field and take calls every year. They are just more disciplined than most teams and can be because they are always right there year after year in regards to contending. Just because they don't deal often, doesn't mean they don't take and make calls.
And I'm sure Spurs have a price on every player on the roster outside of Kawhi, Tony, Manu and DeJounte ( maybe).
I am not surprised at all. It's just good to get a rumor that they have asked about guys and it's interesting to see who they have inquired about.
