Trump needs to push to allow prescription drugs to be imported. That would go a long way to bringing down medical costs in this nation. I'd vote for him in 2020 if he did.
Elijah mings praises Donald J Trump Saw this on today's Morning Joe
Elijah mings appeared on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Thursday to discuss his recent meeting with President Trump and the Democrat from Maryland’s takeaway will probably surprise most people.
“With regard to our meeting yesterday, it was a good meeting. We went to talk about prescription drugs … and I thought he was very enthusiastic about our proposal to allow Medicare to negotiate drug prices, just as they do with Medicaid,” mings said. “He knew the facts … he was even supportive of a proposal that we did not bring to him and that was one that Bernie Sanders and I had been working on.”

Prescriptions drugs are much cheaper from Canada. Back in the day when my parents hit the doughnut in Medicare and Lipitor was still patented, just fax the prescription to one of the big Canadian online pharmacy and few days later (a little longer than US), it's at their house. I remember there was one drug that got sent all the way from UK - still cheaper than here.
I just thought it was a good move by Elijah mings and Peter Welch…They met with Trump & said we need to get this done now. People from our districts voted for you and many of them juggle buying groceries or paying for prescription drugs. We need you to get this bill past the Republican Congress. Good job Elijah & Welch. Stop the fighting & get things done.
blind obstructionism is a political game that puts the party above the electorate. this is good.
Uh oh. Trump needs to contain his liberalism. Lol
The un-patented drugs are already available pretty cheaply at WalMart/Costco - people should shop (like they do for computers/electronics) and not blindly depend on their insurance tiers/copays. Allow bringing in the patented drugs and the drug companies will be forced to lower the US price to compete vs the foreign. At this point, I don't care about philosophy (Trump's not an ideologue anyway) - just lower prices.
