2013 to 2015 porker.
How do you go from league MVP to a complete piece of in such a short amount of time?
2013 to 2015 porker.
Damn... that's sad. He was just as athletic and scary as Westbrook. What could've been
He was good tho thibs and his own actions led to his demise
Not that athletic.
Blow out your knees a couple years in a row. In his prime, he was a LeBron point guard, too athletic and strong for any point guard. But he lost the explosiveness after several surgeries. Sad.
Yes he was. Super quick and explosive. Probably partly why his body couldn't handle it.
if he'd ever played for Portland he'd have probably just exploded Spinal Tap drummer style right on the court.
Parker's descent isn't a surprise. His speed coupled with his amazing ability to finish in the paint made him a superstar. He's still fast, but losing even half a step took away his ability to get past the defense, and lose his ability to score in early offense. But Father Time beat Parker; Rose lost bc his body failed him.
Yep and he was better than Westbrook.
He had his best chance and didnt take it when doctors cleared him to play when the Bulls were doing well, so many years ago. He was also the only great PG Parker couldnt beat in a 1on1 matchup, too strong.
Its all good though, best to stay positive.
Anyone think he could have a career resurgence with the Spurs? Or is his game too reliant on athleticism?
Only MVP to date who will never make the HOF. Sad to see tbh.
If the Spurs want him on the cheap he should definitely be have-able now. Still, really sucks how his knees seem to explode on the regular.
Why would the Spurs want to waste a roster spot on someone with glass knees?![]()
Rose ain't even on the Spurs radar. Ya need to stop.![]()
Spurs did sign Ford, so they take chances with injury prone players. But Rose wouldn't fit with the Spurs culture and he wants the max, which no one will give him, but since he thinks he's still a max player I could see him being or becoming a lockeroom cancer.
His college coach was John Calipari, so basically he was never coached. He skated on pure athletic ability. Thibs can't coach offense, either, so just let Rose do whatever.
So after injuries impacted him he had no idea how to play the game of basketball. Calipari ruined him before he began, like so many other Memphis/Kentucky players.
