And centers continue to dissapoint. They should just get rid of the center position in All-NBA teams but add them on the All-Star..Just throw the bigs a cookie. So they dont complain.

He did say "has been ". Inconsistency is a big issue for Davis. He hasn't developed a lot as an NBA player, but he's still better than most bigs in the league. If he was on a team that had real trainers (ahem) he'd be much more effective. You have to look at the expectations people had of him when he entered the league. He was supposed to be the next Tim Duncan.

I was always skeptical of that claim, but he's certainly been one of the best bigs since Prime Duncan. Between him and Cousins, Davis has been more consistent since they teamed up.
