I don't get why Parker and Manu can't finish anymore. I understand losing speed and lift with age, but it's like they've forgotten how to make layups. Parker in particular used to be automatic from close range.
But no... let's just watch a fat / past his prime wannabe SG shoot fadeaway 20ft shots against Ryan Anderson.
Let's be honest.. this team died when Tim Duncan retired.
Pop is done. Manu is done. Parker is old (how can ANYONE expect him to be the second option at 34 years old?). It's all Kawhi Leonard - but obviously can't do it all himself.
Signing Lamarsha Aldridge is one of the WORST things to have happened to this proud franchise.

Old and tired legs.
It was almost the Beautiful Game last night. Just a few minor tweaks and it's all good.

I haven't seen beautiful game the entire playoffs TBH - come on guys - there's almost no ball movement, remember? pick your poison with the Spurs?
What's the poison now? double team KL and you are all set?
It's the 1st game of the 2nd round. They lost in the 2nd round last year with Tim. Lost in the 1st round the year prior, with Tim. Tim was in the league 19 years, won 5 times, made the Finals 6 times. That's 31% of the time. So based on the takes here, the Spurs have had a ty roster 69% of the time Tim was in the league.
You cannot win a ring every year, even expensive teams don't.
Houston playing the beautiful game tbh.
senile old will never sniff another ring after Duncan's era.
Duncan's product tbh.
The good old days, tbh..
Even the 1st round exit 2015 team(injuries killed them) was more fun to watch and actually bodied the Warriors when they were healthy..they didn't need to eek out a close win with Aldridge needing 25 shots to score 26 points vs. Draymond
Pre-Aldridge days![]()
Damn.. how many big plays did we make in that game 6 vs OKC..
The Manu 3 to go up 1 at the end of the 4th.
The Kawhi block
The Tim banker at the end of OT
^^Yep..compare that to clutch time in game 5 vs. OKC last year, tbh![]()
HAVE to get rid of Manu at the end of the season. One of the all time great Spurs but we have to get some fresh blood into this team.
They are not getting rid of him or Parker. This team unlike others will take a year or so of bad results to honor those that have given so much. We don't on players and dismiss them and it is something as a fan you should be proud of. No loyalty anymore or anywhere, the Spurs are what a model franchise is. Stop cryg about not winning every year and be thankful for you have and have had.
Holt should fire PAFTO tomorrow if they are re ed enough to waste a year or more of kiwi's prime with 14 million loyalty contracts for TOSBs like Manure.Cowheard was right Belicheat wouldn't have stood for that kind of gotry for a second and manure would have been moved after '14 for real value tbh
lmao off. Manu is 40 now and he'd be smart to retire at the end of the year. He's already the 2nd oldest player in the league.
He will retire. Parker will be year after. They all will go out one by one.
Yeah, I'm not saying Parker should retire. The guy still has a vital role as a role player and he can provide some good depth on the bench. We need a new starting PG ASAP though.
The Grizzlies wanted Parker to be the main offensive focal point to take the ball away from Kawhi. They allowed room for the former while hand-checking the latter even on the perimeter. The Rockets easily erased Parker with Beverly, but the Spurs didn't adjust accordingly.
Manu is just too old.
After the Spurs get unceremoniously bounced by Houston, Pop will hang it up.
Didn't Softridge shoot 5-22 or something like that in that game?![]()
Big missing piece this year: Tim's outlet passes. Now they walk the ball up.
You stole Lasoft from the Lakers and you loved it. Now eat your sandwich![]()
26-56 this year.
17-65 last year.
21-61 the year before that.
27-55 the year before that.
I'm pretty sure that makes you the local expert in sandwiches.

Rather take a gamble with young talent than being stuck with an soft aging big with a fat contract. Spurs are going nowhere with Aldridge.
