It's true that the President is different from other people. If the President wants to end a criminal investigation, there is no law to prevent him from doing it. And if there were such a law, it would be probably be uncons utional as a violation of the separation of powers.

what laws did trump break even nancy does not want impeachment now
says she might not agree with him but he has commited no crimes

Impeachment is a political ploy, not a legal ploy.

It was a Dem Congress that impeached Nixon

It was a Repug Congress that impeach Clinton.

A Repug Congress won't impeach Trash because they aren't yet sick of winning

Trump could have people murder his political opponents and then pardon them and it is legal. Doesn't make it democratic.

"Obstruction of justice is not a black-and-white offense, so reasonable minds may well disagree about whether asking Comey to go easy on Flynn rises to the level of what federal law prohibits," said Steve Vladeck, CNN legal analyst and professor of law at the University of Texas School of Law.

BigFinance LOVES Trash, for doing CORRUPT stuff like this:

    America’s Most Dangerous Temp

Trump’s temporary appointee as chief bank regulator has

spent his career helping banks evade regulations—and is exempt from the standard ethical safeguards.

Two weeks ago, 44-year-old Keith Noreika was just another corporate lawyer, advising bank clients on evading regulatory enforcement. Today he runs the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), the second-most important banking regulator in the federal government.

Noreika, they don’t have to sign the Trump ethics pledge, which prohibits executive branch officials from working on matters involving their former clients for two years; communicating with colleagues about their activities for one year after they’ve left the government; lobbying the agencies where they served for five years; or lobbying on behalf of a foreign government forever.

    http://prospect.org/article/america%E2%80%99s-most-dangerous-temp

BigFinance doesn't give the tiniest about America, only cares about stealing from, fleecing Americans and any mark they can find.

The two presidents (Nixon and Clinton) that had impeachment proceedings started against them were for obstruction of justice...

Logically every president would be on top of us since our presence in the US pales in comparison.

Hate to burst your bubble RG

    05/03/2017

HIRONO: Yes. And so speaking of the independence of not just the judiciary but I'd like you to clarify the FBI's independence from the DOJ apparatus. Can the FBI conduct an investigation independent from the department of Justice. Or does the FBI have to disclose all it's investigations to the DOJ? And does it have to get the Attorney General's consent?

COMEY: Well we work with the Department of Justice, whether that's main justice or U.S. attorney's offices on all of our investigations.

And so we work with them and so in a legal sense we're not independent of the department of justice. We are spiritually, culturally pretty independent group and that's the way you would want . But yes, we work with the Department of Justice on all of our investigations.

HIRONO: So if the Attorney General or senior officials at the Department of Justice opposes a specific investigation, can they halt that FBI investigation?

    COMEY: In theory yes.

    HIRONO: Has it happened?

COMEY: Not in my experience. Because it would be a big deal to tell the FBI to stop doing something that -- without an appropriate purpose. I mean where oftentimes they give us opinions that we don't see a case there and so you ought to stop investing resources in it. But I'm talking about a situation where we were told to stop something for a political reason, that would be a very big deal. It's not happened in my experience.
