The only thing we have good enough for the third overall pick is Kawhi. And obviously we aren't trading him. If they were dumb enough to give the 3rd pick for LMA and a few picks you do that in a heartbeat

Pops culture is what i like. When it comes to in game adjustments and playing the best players, hes not the best.
When's the last time the Spurs had a pick in the lottery? That guy was a Finals MVP less than 24 months after being drafted.
And Kawhi (just outside lottery) was a regular rotation guy and full time starter before too long.
James Anderson at 20 was playing 18 minutes out of the gate until his career altering injury.
Most times the Spurs have drafted it's been so far back in the first round that those players are much bigger projects.
