Warrior s are marketable, Spurs are not.
After our le runs? Specifically speaking 2014 our latest? The whole narrative on the 4 stars and the whole redemption thing from last year. Spurs had a remarkable come back yr too and finals payback and I don't remember coverage like what Warriors got.
Warrior s are marketable, Spurs are not.
Somebody paid $133,000 for a pair of tickets to tonight's game. Don't even bother saying how stupid or wasteful that is - it doesn't matter. The fact that someone will pay $133K for a pair of tickets tells you what the market for GSW looks like. Get used to it.
Mike Wilbon literally referenced every great team on espn in the past when comparing Warriors and championship teams in the post game. Lakeshow, Bird/McHale/Parrish, MJ/Pippen. Even 1983 Dr.J/Moses team. Then Bad Boys Pistons and Kareem teams. Never once mentioned Spurs or Shaq/Kobe prime. Just goes to show the era of deadness post MJ. You remember the era more for malice in the palace, AI, etc...Sucks
I haven't watched this series or ESPN but that's shocking that they didn't even mention Shaq/Kobe Lakers. I would think they would have since ESPN has always slurped the Lakers. '99-'10 is a forgettable era for a lot of people since it was a transition era for the NBA after Jordan retired. For me I will always look back on that time period with fondness since the spurs won 4 out of their 5 les during that era. I personally don't care if they never mention those Spurs teams because I enjoyed those championships and that's pretty much all that matters to me.
The 2014 summer was only about "Where is Lebron headed next?"the disrespect...
Foreigners winning the NBA championship. French, Argentine, Italian, Brazilian, Australian, etc..... Fat Americans tried to pretend it didn't happen, just like they do with REAL football just because they suck.
Did you just start watching the NBA?
Probably someone who makes that in a day, honestly.
I didn't watch any of the post game stuff. Frankly, I am relatively pissed that Cleveland blew Game 3 because this was shaping up to be a 7 game series, which is all I could ask for given that I don't like either team.
Take heart in that the Spurs redemption story will always top the Warriors no matter how the "experts" try to paint it.
The Spurs did it without no wholesale changes, while the warriors needed another superstar to make sure they got theirs.
All I know is that there are FIVE banners hanging in SA. Only two in Oakland.

Just regular media operation. Spurs are soul-less zombies that happen to be good but are not our beloved heroes of the story.
You know they try hard when they sell this as a redemption story. Warriors were favorites in '16 and huge favorites in '17 because of Durant. Spurs' story is much more meaningful.
I thought they won 5
Who cares? We have five rings, enjoy it.
Quit worrying about what the marketing talking heads responsible for boosting TV ratings have to say.
OP also water is wet
Whoa now...we don't have room for that sensibility in here.
Fake News ^
Not to mention, the Spurs have another shot at redemption next season. I still go back to the fact that when Leonard was healthy in the 1.5 head to heads, the Spurs have a huge margin. He's on of the few in the league that can effectively guard Durant. And on the other side GSW has a hard time guarding Leonard. Plus I expect him to be better next season. Hopefully, they do some good in the offseason with bringing in a player or two.
This is about as good as GSW can get. Spurs can still improve.
Love your sig video. You s will just burn down the damn stadium - when you're happy. The world just needs a whole lot more of that.
Two of them were in Philadelphia: one in 1947 and the other in 1956.
The very midnight of the day the Spurs dismantled the Heatles all NBA talk was focused on the upcoming draft.
You cant tear apart your meal ticket superstar
yea I remember when there was talk of Pau coming to the Spurs the year after we won, Ryen Russillo was up in arms, "they don't need him!". Yet he had no problem with the Dubs signing Durant. It seems like it pains most talking heads to give the Spurs anything more than faint praise and they wouldn't give them that except to not do it would be branded an idiot.
