You say spurs need a big. Then you state that he is an avg rebounder and can shoot threes.... why the do you need a big if you want a decent rebounder who can shoot 3s? Just get a wing. Then you will still have an avg rebounder but a better 3pt shooter and all around player.

I see Spurs going in either of these 2 routes.. Signing vet at the vet min to fill out roster, or going after someone they either have in G league or Summer league roster, they can get them on the cheap... I have watched Cory Jefferson both in Utah Summer League games and Start of Las Vegas and he is a solid rebounder not just good, he sets solids picks, and has a decent jumpshot.

He can shoot corner threes. It's not how you want to utilize him but if he's left in an island cir stancially, he's going to shoot it.

There's a huge difference between being forced to be a spread guy like what mpst teams did with him and shooting the occasional three.
