back in 08, I had all my 401k in citigroup stock. it crashed to 1.00 a share from 55. it came back up to 5.00 a share but I lost enough to buy an F250 diesel king ranch lifted 4x4....ahhh...still hurts.
After making a couple of poor decisions over the weekend(I'll spare you the details, lets just say it wasn't my finest moment), I got to thinking back on some of the I got myself into/nearly got myself into. So off the top of your head, what's the dumbest thing you've ever done?
Mine is easy...marrying my ex.

Haha...not quite, but close.
It wasn't my dumbest drunk moment...that moment was in my 20's when I backed my car into the ditch at a buddies house with the house full of people.

In 2011 I was like 21-22 I had around 15K in savings and was the first I was living away from home. So one day me and my friend randomly decide to walk into a casino in LA and see what this is all about. Didn't know about gambling. We play some random games black jack, paigow etc. we come across this popping ass section to where a horde of asians are yelling out in chinese, they are playing this game called baccarat where you literally pick one side to win. We play that game and win 1100$. We think we've cracked the game because we are somewhat decent at math/statistics, cuz was crazy easy to win.
I come back the very next day with 5000 and play my ass off and end up winning 20000$. At that time I thought Iwas making a rational decision based on the current statistics of the game, but now in hindsight it was dumb luck. So literally a week later I walk in with 25000 (20000 winnings+5000 of my own) to play at a private table and I lose everything and I'm down 5000 of my own money, I would have been up, if I stuck to my original plan but I chickened out.
No way I was gonna take a 5000 loss so I go back in the very next day with my remaining 10,000 in my savings, the casino let me have unlimited free food since I was playing with so much and of all the things on the menu I had a chicken ceasar salad because I was on a diet. This was the most expensive salad I paid for because I proceed to lose the 10,000 I have as well. Living in SoCal for school at the age of 21-22 and broke wasn't cutting it so I had to go back home. Lied my ass off to my Mom as to why I came back. I should have blown that money on high end hookers.

wow that's heartbreaking . I heard about this Chinese lady that hit the ultimate hot streak playing a game like baccarat in excess of 100k and turned around and lost it all trying to double up. What a dumb .
Funny thing is that's exactly what happened to my buddy. We were out drinking bull ting as normal a thing we would do. We lived in a neighborhood where the closest basketball court was at an elementary school a few blocks away. We would always chill and ball out sometimes cutting through a ditch and walking through neighbors yards as a shortcut. Well one night I'm drunk and done for the night and go home. The next morning there's banging on my door and it's this fools mom frantic saying he didn't come home. So I'm like hungover and at a loss for where this fool could've been. So we take off thinking where could he of gone. We look around the neighbor hood and after a while notice this fool passed the out in someone's yard with leaves and all over him. Dude must've blacked out and decided he was going to go play some ball and took a nap on the way there.
