The Obama backed, and Eric Holder chaired, National Democratic Redistricting Committee has raised $10.8 million in six months in their effort to combat Republican election rigging through gerrymandering.
Democrats are hoping that the group will be able to coordinate efforts between activists and interest groups in prioritized state legislative and governor’s races for the next round of redistricting after the 2020 census,
as well as being the home of legal challenges on the state level and at the Supreme Court.
That’s an enormous array of ambitious activities, in which they’ll be going up against well-funded interests across the country.
In most states, it is expected to be a major uphill battle to change the balance of power that could change the maps.

This project will be stillborn if the SCOTUS rules that PARTISAN gerrymandering is legal, with the usual oligarchy 5 beating progressive 4.
And of course, $10M is NOTHING compared to the $Bs that the Kock Bros network and billionaire oligarchy was spend on maintaining and expanding extreme Repug partisan gerrymandering AND voter suppression.

Hillary way outspent Trump and look what happened. We need better and smarter candidates nominated to run. Bernie would have been 100% better than Hillary against Trump.
I can't wait to see how the Democratic presidential primary plays out. Will the DNC pre-select the candidate again or will it be a free for all cluster like the GOP primary was?

There's no difference between how god awful Barrack Obama is as a human being and Trump. Only difference is Obama is an establishment Politician and has the connections to make his crimes against humanity not look as such via the Leftist Propaganda ministries.
And why raise money? They lost a thrice rigged election to a ing idiot outsider. Inep ude can't be changed with monies, change the message and agenda and re-cast the cast with new faces so people with functioning brains aren't so turned off by the vast majority of the micro-political agenda they spent too much time on, while non-stop bashing the people they could have flipped wasn't muzzled til it was too late.
They lost to ing amateur hour because of themselves. Period.
