Why would someone who lives in New York know anything about hurricanes? That's like I wouldn't know anything about snowstorms. When dd was buying food and water for Harvey, her room mates were wondering why she was buying so much food (they just didn't know anything about hurricanes). I told her later I hoped she bought a lot because she's gonna have to share with her 3 clueless room mates - like we had to share our gas with sister-in-law who had 2 generators and no gas :-( Granted, she had to evacuate and probably forgot but I made so many trips to Costco, I could have filled up her containers.
Gotta give lots of kudos to Costco - always had gas - yes, you have to wait but at least, you're assured it doesn't run out when you get to the front of the line - they do limit you to 2 containers of gas though. And they allow 3 cases of water each trip.
We are witnessing the destruction of America that will likely end badly. When black athletes and sports casters openly support racism, bigotry and political bullying against our Elected officials it has reached a dangerous and scary level.

The media is not a monolith. The conservative media treated Obama as badly as the liberal media treats Trump.

I am talking about the volume of criticism. The article linked below states the media coverage of Trump was 93% negative as of May. Obama never dealt with anything like that.
