In OKC tonight to take on a struggling 9-12 Thunder team who have lost 5 of their last 7, but are coming off a home win against the Timberwolves on Friday. LA, Rudy Gay, and Parker are all out tonight. Will be a tough one to win for us on the road since we'll be so short-handed. Nonetheless, that's why you play the game. Let's try and steal one. Let's get it.

Dj should get lots of burn tonight, along with Patty and Bertans. Looks like Derrick White is back too, although don't expect him to play unless necessary.
, I was looking forward to this game. Oh well.
I thought Silver didn't want teams resting guys for "rest", especially on the road?
Pop obviously doesn't give a .
Also surprised White is back so quickly.
That’s too bad but Lamarcus was due a rest game. No wonder Joffrey had been getting out of the doghouse recently despite dog ugly play. I wonder about the league’s policy about resting stars on road games. How did Pop evade that with Lamarcus?
Rudy with a sore right heel again. Rudy hovering at 22 minutes or so a game is definitely about his health at this point. Stay healthy Rudy!
This is an opportunity for Lauvergne and Davis Bertans to show they are NBA players and that they belong. They should be hungry and compete at least (no Suns-like defense).
Health to the main guys is super important for the longer run. OKC is playing with desperation and this might have been a loss even if Pop played Lamarcus. Hopefully no one of the young crew gets hurt.
good news about Derrick White!

Lets get it boys![]()
Wonder if Mills or Murray will start. I assume Pop will want to keep Patty in his bench role now that Tony is back, but it's not like Mills over Murray hasn't paid dividends too.
Murray/Paul/Green/Anderson/Gasol
Mills/Forbes/Manu/Bertans/Lauvergne
Hillard has a chance to start, as do Forbes and Costello. Would also think Bertans could start just to keep SA "big", but I would be worried about that match-up with Melo.
Since LMA is not playing this is a scheduled loss.
Agree with your lineup. I suspect Pop wants to see the Davis/Lauvergne pairing he tried in preseason for so many minutes (but barely any since then) and see how the do together precisely for rest games like this and future injuries.
Good opportunity for Murray.
Definitely.
anyone who comes complaining about a loss in this situation has to be some troll.
Its a good chance for Pop to experiment and give opportunities to seldom played guys in the team to earn his trust by executing well. If shots don’t fall that’s different but there shouldn’t be Suns-like defense.
Jabari was already my favorite spurs reporter even b4 this rant...
I like that he gave credit to the player.
of course much will be said about Pop and the Spurs system putting players in spots to be successful but it’s players themselves who make that work or not.
A similar rant probably applies to Lamarcus. I am going to post in Kyles church for posterity![]()
Easier to deal with a Davis/Joffrey/Matt suspension for fighting with Adams.
... In the first half en route to a Spurs victory in the second.
OKC is trash so spurs could still win tbh
I gather we're getting fined for resting at least LMA?
This is a nationally televised game, LMA is healthy, it's not a back to back, plus a road game?

It is a back-to-back.
