Any other president would have inherited this almost nothing growth from Obama as well. The enomy shot off like a rocket when Trump was elected, just like it fizzled when the democrats took control of congress in 2007.

The Repugs blocked all Keynsian spending, the stimulus, while red states laid off 100Ks of state employees.
Severe financial crises, like the Banksters Great (Jobs) Depression take longer to recover from, unlike the natural instability of Capital's usual "business cycles"
McConnell said the Repug priority with Obama was elected that the Repugs PRIORITY was to do everything to make Obama a one-term Pres, that included slowing, blocking all govt stimulus, and blocking all Obama/Dem legislation.
