Nobody gets as many chuckles out of me than Clipper Nation. As we all can see the guy is an asshole who knows...0....but he tries so damn hard , hahahaha~~~~~~~~
no chit 2019 and 2020 Clips playoffs could be epic.
How sweet would it be if rich Clippers owner cooped Kwa and LeBron.
Whatever Kwa does I hope he doesn't settle for some bull like 1st round and out with Pops Pets the next 3 years.
lol never happen if Lebron and Kiwi play together its with SA...
Good move for the Clips. Blake's injury prone and has reached a ceiling as a player.
I agree. Pistons will end up regretting it the same way the Knicks did with Amare. Similar players switching teams at similar points and ages in their careers. Already questionable contract when the Knicks signed him. By the third and fourth seasons with the Knicks, Amare was stealing money, rarely playing, and when he did play, it was essentially back-up minutes. And the Knicks topped out in the second round with Amare not even really playing that season.
It's all downhill for Blake, and the Clippers will reap the benefits of trading him.
We'll see. Personally, I think the Pistons will be a solid playoff team as long as Blake's there. I know you hate Blake, but he's a legit superstar and one of the best bigs in the league. They'll never be a contender, but that's not Blake's fault. It's because SVG wasted their whole salary cap on mediocre players before Blake got there.
On the flipside, it's going to be really hard for our front office to dig out of the mess they just made. We have no hope of attracting star free agents now. The book is out on our front office, they can't be trusted by any player. We're going to have to get really lucky in the draft and keep finding gems in the D-League and Europe.
ESPN is comparing this trade to when the Kings traded Chris Webber to the Sixers. The Kings still haven't recovered from that trade.
son blake's wife is more a superstar than him tbh..
I actually don't hate Blake. My making fun of him is in direct response to your hatred towards CP3. I mean I have fun with it. But it's simply to get a response out of you. Blake is a fine player when he's healthy. But that's the problem. He gets injured every year. Random injuries. Recurring injuries. Old and new injuries. Being stupid injuries. You cannot trust his health won't be a question going forward. And at this point in his career, his salary is essentially cost prohibitive for team success because of the risks a team carries with his health.
I think Amare is a very fair comparison. Athletic power forwards of similar size and build who both heavily relied on that athleticism early on in their careers. I believe both in their 8th seasons in the league when they switched teams. Or Amare just finished playing his 8th season in Phoenix. Amare was just about to turn 28 when he signed with the Knicks. Blake about to turn 29, so similar amount of miles and wear and tear on their tires. And Amare didn't have the injury history Blake has. Both 20+/8+ type of production. Both adjusted their games with age to play a more perimeter, more jumpshooting game. So look at Amare's time with the Knicks. Look at the regression in production. Look at the number of missed games. Look at the failure to really significantly improve the Knicks in a weak East.
I dont hate Blake. But look at his injury history and look at that salary. Look at the Amare comparison. He's not going to make the Pistons legit conference finals contenders in the East. If they make the playoffs this year, they'll be lucky to get out of the first round.
The Clippers should feel lucky to have traded him now while they still could get some decent value in return.
damn son talk about timing tbh.
You can join us and Laker fans in the cellar again.
I'm still dumbfounded why they traded Blake away for the trash they received. You win Championships with stars, now the Clippers have nothing.
maybe demonkey jordan said he wasn't resigning and blake would've left as well ... so tom rivers just said it and just gave his son the kobe treatment at 30 shots / gametbh that's not a bad deal because austin rivers as a 1st option is a guaranteed a a couple of top 3 picks tbh

Pretty sure they're gonna make a run at Lebron
Maybe

And Clipper Nation laughed at Kobe's 2 year $48M deal?Paying Jordan and affording James may be prohibitive unless the Clippers are able to clear significant salary. That won't be easy, given the Clippers still owe Danilo Gallinari $44.2 million over the next two seasons.![]()
Damn, West got us a better player than Kobe for cheaper.

that shiiiiiiiit!
Gallo will prevent you from even thinking of getting the Kang. Think about that.![]()
Ultimately, Los Angeles is better off moving on from James, setting their sights on free agency in 2019 when the team only has Danilo Gallinari under guaranteed contract. That's when players like Kawhi Leonard, Kyrie Irving, Klay Thompson, Kemba Walker, Jimmy Butler and Hassan Whiteside could all hit free agency, among others. Until then, the Clippers should be looking to cash out veterans like Jordan and Lou Williams, who has been tremendous for the Clippers this season.

Plus let's compare and contrast the Lakers and Clipps.
Lakers gave Kobe a $48.5M contract. Basically an award for 20 years of service. Stars have noticed.
Clippers made a big ass presentation to the greatest Clipper in their history. 5 years $173M is a nice payout for 9 years of service. Clippers weren't until Blake got there. Less than a year later they traded his ass. Stars have noticed.
Both (potentially) have cap space. For the Lakers, small maneuvers are needed to realize 2 max slots this summer. We also have some nice young players as supporting cast for stars and fill out our bench. Admittedly, I don't know much about the Clipps players outside of injury prone Gallo, asshole Tom Jr., Jordan who tried to leave and is now stranded, and whatever players they got in the Blake deal that played pretty good in the weak ass East. But, I like our chances of rebuilding more than the Clipps.![]()
