Update: West appears to have taken the lead in the compe ion to become the Celtics' starting point guard, the Boston Herald reports.

Recommendation: Boston coach Doc Rivers is concerned about Dan au's defense after he was abused by Toronto's Mike James and Chicago's Kirk Hinrich. "I think Delonte has done more on the defensive end that would warrant him playing and starting the game," said Rivers. "You want to start the game with a defensive presence - especially at that position."
