The caveat to me is that he needs to look healthy at the end of the season. It's not worth the risk for the supermax if he can't look healthy after 10 months of no activity on this chronic injury.

I would hate Kawhi on a supermax deal, but unfortunately they have no room.
Unless Mills/Gasol get shipped this summer, they would be foolish to start the negotiations with Kawhi on that footing.
