If only the other teachers were armed they could have taken him down
“Just give the teachers guns, problem solved!”

Once teachers are armed, how soon until a black student is killed in a classroom because a teacher “feared for their life”? I’d give it a month.
Also, in before “lol california”
If only the other teachers were armed they could have taken him down
yet another gun/gun-safety instructor accidentally shoots himself or others
Lts just install gun turrets in every classroom nigas and put Computarized AI to run them all in neural network
That way everyone will b safe
No, no, no, putting our unemployed veterans to work protecting schools is the better solution...

Armed guys with PTSD dealing with snot nosed kids all day..
What could go wrong?!?
Gonna be real cool when they goof on some Rambo type dude for being a rent-a-cop and a dork and get spree killed
Ironically, the gunman responsible for that incident had a security permit.

Cop accidentally shoots himself - cops should not have guns
The logic here is astounding, mind numbing tbh
Might be on to something, actually. From what I've read, modern police training is pretty terrible in that regard. See that recent "swatting case" where a jumpy beat cop was the one who pulled the trigger while the better trained SWAT officers kept their cool.
Cops get crash courses in "you're going to die if you don't shoot first" type . They see every dead cop video that exists, and though it's a tiny fraction of all interactions between LEO and the public, they treat it like it's the most likely scenario. This is why so many of them draw their weapon right away, even on someone who won't or cannot unbuckle a seatbelt.
The conversation comes down to this though, if you're in a situation where you have one exit and there's an active shooter in your building, and he's coming your way, and you have to go through said exit to escape, do you even give a about how safe another gun would be? In that scenario, anyone who could shoot in that direction would be acceptable over no one to do so. But folks want to pretend we'd all be much safer if only the active shooter had a firearm and no one else did, because we'd not accidentally kill someone. Every death would be intentional then.
imagine if this teacher was armed
the syllogism or your false equivalency?

Yeah, this whole "arm the teachers" thing is about the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Bank tellers and airline stewardesses aren't armed. Makes no sense at all.
Yep, she would have shot dat for sure.![]()
Teachers going to be armed, accidents will happen. To students... since they are about everywhere in a teacher's day I imagine. We need more cops driving around with a class full of kids in the car demonstrating gun safety.
Yeah, mind-numbing...
Who here staked a claim on that re ed logic besides you?
Bank tellers have armed guards in the building. Flight attendants deal with people who had to pass through a security checkpoint. In school, you just walk in holding a rifle, no one seems to mind.
I am against "arming the teachers" in lieu of having armed police on campus and entry checkpoints.
A teacher has a firearm incident ergo the entire concept of a teacher with a firearm is absurd. Same should be true with any group.
Pretty simple if you're not a total idiot, Blake.
We need to monitor the lives of 300 million people and draw wild group conclusions based on a single data point.
She was obviously fearing for her life.
Agree 100%. Easiest (but most costly solution) is to have Federal grants for schools to increase the security through walls/fences/monitored checkpoints.
goddamn, you're ing stupid
