and you can all go yourself
As a nice added bonus, they got to close Busch Stadium.
It's been a long time in coming!!!

I told you they would win in 6.
I just jinxed them in game 5 when I predicted that they would win in 6 games.

Roy O will be winner in Game 6.
TPark, your Cards have no chance what so ever this year.
Two reasons:
1. Andy Pet te starts 2 games.
2. Pete Munro does NOT start 2 games.

yeah. They were talking the last few innings. They talked about the Cards not having a hit to the outfield the whole game, then boom, a hit to the outfield. They were trying to jinx it so it can go to a seventh game. ing announcers.
Congrats to the 'stros. Rep Texas proud.
Well said. I agree.
Pet e's games were losses.
Didn't I say I didn't trust pet e to close?
And yeah, yeah, he never did anything wrong... but he could've always pitched better.
First Texas team in a world series!![]()
The Astros win the pennant! The Astros win the pennant!

First game, he was still recovering from the flu and had gotten hit in the leg by the line drive, he was not Andy. We all know that he should have gotten the win in game 5, yes?????? Did you not see game 5????
Out of Pet te's 3 postseason starts, you really can't argue with the one he had in Game 1 of the NLDS and then the one in Game 5 of the NLCS. Both of those starts he deserved to win.
Perhaps Jim is right about what happened in Game 1 of the NLCS.
All in all, if he can give the 'stros start(s) like he did in Game 5 against the Cards, then that's all they need out of him.
It was the same damn story last year. That stat they showed was ridiculous. It was something like, in the last two postseasons, Pujols is hitting .370 with 17 RBI, and his teammates are hitting .240 with 22 RBI.
They need to load up offensively this off-season. Get a younger outfielder. Larry Walker retired after the game last night. - take Manny off of Boston's hands. Bat Pujols/Manny/Rolen at 3/4/5 and don't worry about offense again.
Yes, and do not forget the gem he pitched against Atlanta in game 1. A four hitter in 7 good innings.
You can tell he was hurt in game 1 in NLCS after that ball hit him.
And we all know how weak we feel after having the flu and barfing your guts out for 2 days. It takes a week to get back to full strength after that...we all have been there.
Rolen would have been helpful.
Edmonds really stunk it up though. Surprising to me, because he's usually such an Astro killer. He had a lot of pitches to hit with Pujols batting behind him and he couldn't get it done.
Pet te is overrated.
Someone can't read...
Anyways... flu=excuse, and if he played like that he obviously didn't care for the team.. cuz they still lost that game.
