Throwback Thursday: David Robinson's Quadruple-Double Game

This is one of the games that David Robinson is most famous for. The Spurs won this game 115-96, with The Admiral going for 34 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, and 10 blocks. Rebounds were the hardest for The Admiral to come by because Dennis Rodman led the Spurs with 22, leaving him to fight for the leftovers with his other teammates. If not for that, The Admiral would have definitely had a lot more rebounds. He got his 10th rebound early in the 4th quarter by dunking home a miss by Sleepy Floyd. With 5:21 left in the game, The Admiral clinched his quadruple-double by blocking a Lindsey Hunter 10-foot try in the lane.

To me, the strangest thing was seeing Sean Elliott in a Pistons uniform in his first game back in San Antonio after being traded to the Pistons for Dennis Rodman. Sean scored the Pistons' first basket and had 20 points in the game........and The Admiral welcomed him back by blocking 4 of his shots. Here is the game:

Too bad they didn’t count Tim’s other 2 blocks in G6 of the 2003 Finals. That would have been a feat never replicated, and it never will.
