Surprised this hasn't been posted yet tbh. There goes another yes man

Jame Borrego is finalizing a deal with the Charlotte Hornets to become their next head coach.Borrego was an assistant coach for the Spurs from 2003 until 2010 and again from 2015 until now. Borrego was briefly interim head coach of the Magic when he replaced Jacques Vaughn.
Borrego has also served as an assistant coach for New Orleans under Monty Williams.
The Hornets parted ways with Steve Clifford this offseason under new general manager Mitch Kupchak.

First of all, it WAS posted and Borrego is no "Yes" man. None of the coaches are. For all his stubbornness, faults and rancor, Pop is very much an empowering leader to his assistants. In fact, its required of them to voice solutions, objections, etc. if they have them.. Not sure where or why you came up with that statement.

Good riddance Borrego. You’ll be fired in less than two seasons.

Isn't that like the average NBA coach career?

The Hornets are my home team and outside of the Spurs they are the team I follow a lot. It will be interested to see how Borrego does down here.

Not even Jordan is crazy enough to trade for that horrible contract.

Exactly. There's a reason Pop's coaching tree is so large.

This! So many clowns on this site will still argue we have terrible coaches.

Look at the Hornets coaching history before you consider yourself a prophet should that happen in a couple of years. Coaching Jordan's Hornets pretty much guarantees you a short shelf life.

Pretty cool gig for a guy who worked his way up from the film room.

Why are teams scrambling to get the Spurs assistants? They should be emptying Golden State’s or Boston’s bench. Mike Budenholzer did fine, Brett Brown is ok I suppose, Snyder is doing great, Jim Boylen so-so. Pace and space, not big men chucking mid range shots.
