Hopefully he'll enjoy dumping the ball to LMA in the post 90% of the time.

Maybe Brandon Ingram is what Kawhi would have been had he gone to Charlotte?

I'm sure that gets some attention, but seriously, maybe Spurs can develop Ingram similar to what they have done with Kawhi? If nothing else, you would be able to evaluate half of that theory over 3-4 years with the Spurs

Maybe, but the thing about Kawhi is that he was already an ELITE defensive player in year 2 and a great rebounder for his position..at the very least, you could already see that he could be a Shawn Marion/3rd guy on a le team, even if his offense never improved..

Same with Paul George, he was already a special defender by year 2..

I don't mind Ingram, despite not being a fan right now..it's the rest of the package that sucks..

He did improve markedly in his second season. I can understand why people don't want to trade with the Lakers but the chances the Spurs get a franchise player back from anyone is pretty much zero.

Any offense and especially decent shooting would be welcome at this point.

If we can develop Ingram's defense it actually doesn't look terrible. Thing is does he have the same drive Kawhi does to be great. My guess is no.

Ingram (18) was also 2 years younger than Kawhi was (20) when he was first drafted. Obviously doesn't mean that he's going to have the same trajectory or even close, but it's not exactly and apples to apples comparison to compare the performance of both players at year 2

Can’t do that. He wouldn’t be able to move with it. I’d say 15 pounds of muscle max for this 3rd year. Hopefully builds a little more athleticism somehow.
