Just to shut someone up on here...over the weekend I decided to verify my time in the 200m.
Through Facebook, I was able to get ahold of one of the other guys on the team, Stu. Stu was a sports geek...loved stats.
Stu also ran the 200m. Here's the conversation (I've deleted the parts where we reminisce about Betsy Johnson...she was a looker.)
SFS: Hey Stu...remember back when we used to run the 200m?
Stu: Ha...of course...damn...I was always watching you run away from me.
SFS: yeah...fun times. Hey...what was your best time in the 200m? Or just your average time?
Stu: I can give you both. Hold on...let me get my notebook.
SFS: I'm so fancy, you already know, I'm in the fast lane...from L.A. to Tokyo...
Stu: I'm back...ok...my best time was 21.20 and my average was 21.5.
SFS: You were always...consistent. Say...how much faster would you say I finished the 200 before you?
Stu: Oh...I'd say a second or two. Why?
SFS: You wouldn't believe me if I told you. Thanks Stu.
Stu: Hey...do you want to get together sometime and..
SFS: Bye Stu.

You talked about running a 19.5-20.5 while in middle school, that is 13/14 years old. The USA National record for kids that age was ran in 2016 it is 21.77 and I posted a video of that race somewhere out there.
So are you saying somehow someway you did something of historical importance that nobody has ever mentioned anywhere? You are the fastest 200m sprinter in the history of sprinting for a 13/14 year old...............is this what you claim?
So your coach, the meet officials, the fans in the stands, the other athletes had nothing to say about that amazing, outerworldly, extraordinary track feat......right? Nobody ever.....damn kid do you have any idea what you just accomplished? So that didn't happen?
There is a thread here about a 19 year old Cuban who long jumped close to 29 feet (would jump 29 feet later). Yes that was an amazing feat, but it woudn't make a zit on the butt of a 19.5-20.5 for a middle school kid. You do know this....right?
Tyreek Hill is the fastest NFL player today, while in HS he ran the second fastest 200m ever ran by a HS kid....20.14.
This seasons USA Nationals were won in 20.4.
The great Bullet Bob Hayes never ran faster than a 20.4.
Deion Sanders never broke a 20.7.
Darrell Green never broke 20.4
The legendary Jesse Owens never broke 20.7.
So with me knowing all that how in the can you expect me to buy a 19.5 -20.5 for some kid who refuses to actually prove anything?

My real name is....Flash, on June 8th 1996 at our league meet in Waco Texas I won the 200m in a stunning 20.00. But, the wind machine malfunctioned so my time couldn't be counted as anything. That is why it doesn't show up anywhere. Here is the link to that meet and my 200m.

In 1958 at the Cali HS Champs Muir's Mel Clipper ran a stunning 20.7, that shocked the track world. So you can only imagine what a 19.5-20.5 for a middle school kid would be like. The media would be all over the place, camera's everywhere, ESPN, CNN, SI....all wanting of a piece of this supernatural performance. Yep, the cover of SI.

Ya take a couple obvious losers and tell them you will be ignoring them. You will now have all your stuff constantly bumped up to the top. Yep, our losers can;t stand it, and actually think sooner or later you will break. It's pretty obvious who I choose to work for me......for free
The fastest 200m sprinter to ever play pro football....Tommie Smith.
He ran 9.3/10.1/19.5 straight/19.83 and was the 400m WR holder. He was also the first sub 44.00 relayer.
But......probably his most awe inspring (other than that 19.5) performance was on the anchor leg of the 4x1 relay.
Our USA 68 Olympic team wanted a warm up race prior to the games. Jim Hines a WR 9.1/9.9 cat would anchor our USA team. One of the other teams that was suppose to pose as a punching bag had Tommie Smith on anchor.
At the final exchange Hines has a solid two m advantage, now who can catch a WR9.1/9.9/soon to be the Olympoc 100m champion in another WR time....yep...Tommie Smith. Smith simply turned on the jets and blew by Hines. Which got everyone......why isn't he running anchor on our Olympic team? Smith did win the Oly 200m in WR time.
Smith was a Bengal and did catch one pass for 41 yards, that was it.
Imagine the level of speed it would take to run this guy down on a 4x1 anchor.
Hines also played pro football, he also caught one pass.
Lennox Miller anchored that WR USC Trojan 4x1 team with O.J. on it.
Harry Jerome anchored that Oregon WR 4x1 team with Mel Renfro on it, the old Dallas Cowboy.
Hines, Charlie Greene and Jerome all held the 9.1 WR for yards.
