RIP Queen of Soul
She’s dead or whatever.
RIP Queen of Soul
Great singer and performer.
Thank you queen
Glad everyone here is showing R-E-S-P-E-C-T
Favorite song? Mine's probably "Think."
She is right there with Bessie Smith, Billie Holliday and Ella Fitzgerald when it comes to the greatest Afro American female vocalists. Like those I mentioned she made a huge impact on the music world.
I was mixing her with other soul icons James Brown, Solomon Burke, Percy Sledge, Otis Redding just a few days ago. Love that genre.
R.I.P
“Until you come back to me” I can listen to over and over and over again.

Didn't see it was pancreatic cancer til reading this. That's a death sentence. She may as well have done a farewell tour right when she got the news; gone out on her terms.
Fitting
“Franklin's music quickly climbed the iTunes charts Thursday, with her "30 Greatest Hits" album reaching the No. 1 spot, replacing Nicki Minaj's new album "Queen."”
Fox News using a photo of Patti LaBelle
I get that it's a classy person vs. a narcissist. But I still don't know that I have a dog in the fight. At least Nicki has a nice ass, tbh.
Good to Me As I Am To You w/ Eric Clapton backing is my favorite...
My comment wasn’t really a commentary on Minaj. But more to the le of her album, “Queen”.
But it does add a little something that it is NM.
All black women who sing and are old must be the same person
Aretha Franklin was a giant in the world of music. Her contribution as a singer and pianist was incredibly great and will be deeply missed. There is no debate when you’re talking about “The Queen Of Soul.”
Truly a remarkable talent and treasured part of America's history. Rip
