I stuck my thumb in the air
an old truck and Van
passed on by
then up pulled a red Corvair

she was long and tall
had a cute little dimple in her chin
she smiled and said
don't just stand there
hop on in

she lived in El Paso
not far from here
asked if I wanted to stop in
and have a beer

she was great
about the best I'd ever had
so when I stold her red Corvair
it did make me sad
