Dan I guess likes storm pics. It's not a big deal.

In Dan's mind, I don't doubt that he ties it to American energy policy and consumer indifference to the possible effects of alleged anthropocentric global warming, with the concomitant "outrage" at the alleged blood on our citizenry's hands for the suffering; however, he did not explicitly make that connection within this thread.

That looks like moderate to severe damage in Mexico, but not catastrophic.

Also, it looks like there is another storm brewing in the Atlantic, that while it doesn't threaten land, will become strong enough to have been named were there still available names. Instead, it will just have to be called "Tropical Storm 22."

    There from Cancun.

I did see that the fine people from the US were helping to loot the WalMart. BY seeing the pictures it looks like it will probably going to take a year to have a full recovery.
We were there last year in June for 10 days. The first 3 days were filled with strong storms and alot of unbrella and just hanging out inside the shopping centers and getting wet.Cozumel was flooded and so was the city of Cancun. I do feel for the vacationers that lost their time and money. After last year we learned that if we want to vacation in the Carribean we have to go after December thru May.Avoid the hurricane season. We were lucky to have 7 days of alot of sun but the first 3 days we met alot of folks from teh states that were there for 4 days only. All they saw was storm water.
Undoubtedly, this is a huge strike at the Mexican tourist economy, being that Cancun is the #1 beach in Mexico and probably one of the top 5 tourist attractions in this side of the hemisphere.

    Suerte a mis compatriotas!
