The San Antonio Gunslingers
Tom Benson is bringing his team to SA for the 2006 season and on. Only question is what to name our NFL team. Obviously, we can't name it the Saints, any suggestions?

Why not? San Antonio is named for a saint. It makes perfect sense. And I love the SAints logo you see so many places these days.
Personally, I'm not that anxious to see the Saints come to town, because I don't think San Antonio is ready for all-NFL/all the time. I'd like to see the Saints go back to Louisana as soon as they have a stadium to play in, whether it be the SuperDome (really don't think that one is going to happen) or a new stadium. The Saints belong there.
Our time will come, I think, but it's not here yet. IMO.

Put the outline of the Alamo over the fleur-de-lis and call them the Santos.
Failing that:

Only problem is Spurs mascote is a coyote unless we had the coyote
do NBA and NFL. It would be weird to have two coyotes for both pro
