We tanking baby.![]()
Had them missing the playoffs even before all the injuries tbh. The defense is going to be near nonexistent.
Too many injuries. Too many vet departures.
If we tanking yes. Which i'm on board with.
I thought everyone was against tanking when I said we should trade Aldridge and Kawhi for draft picks and tank this year which would have gotten us 3 lottery picks in a 2019 draft that’s loaded with talent
If your list continues then yes...... but right now I think we can make it atleast...
i voted yes... even with the current injuries there's still a preseason game & the whole RS for someone else to get hurt...
and the west got stronger... wins against the lakers, mavs are far from automatic.
scratch 6 to 8 weeks... white out indefinitely...
I hope they dont, I'd love for the spurs to overcome all this adversity and still make it.
If were gonna miss playoffs it may as well be that both Aldridge and DeRozan get hurt and go for that #1 pick like in 96.
But if they both stay healthy i hope we make the playoffs
spur don't even have a top 50 pg in the league right now. think about that.
PATFO slurpers would say Patty is a top ten due to culture alone.
On the bright side- Derozan and LMA's numbers should be through the roof!
Dabom of course.

It really comes down to whether I think LMA can still put the team on his back. I am feeling very negative right now but dare not count him out. If Lamarcus gets injured, they are out IMO.
spurs will lose more games when resting players because their depth is shot.
The injury epidemic, before the season even starts, has scared me into voting yes, we'll miss the playoffs. I can't see an 82 game regular season going by with no more significant injuries.
Nah, defenses don't have anybody else to worry about. Gonna swarm DeMar and LMA every touch.
Losing Murray was a death blow to the team's playoff chances. No way they're making it in a conference with CP3, Curry, Westbrook, Lollard, Holiday, and Conley being checked by a combination of Forbes and Mills.
The Forbes-derozan-gay/gasol lineup isn't going to stop anyone. If this team is in the top half of the league, defensively, popovich deserves coach of the year
There weren't any lottery picks offered for Kawhi, and nobody was going to give a lotto pick for Aldridge. Boston allegedly might have given the Kings pick but they couldn't even match salaries, plus the pick disappears if it was #1.
Lakers had no lottery picks, Clippers with Kawhi wouldn't be in the lottery, etc etc
Even putting Aldridge on the market now ... Not much demand for a post and mid range big who demands LOTS of touches. He's good and produces, but it's a lot of salary to match and hard to find decent picks to go with.
Depends on what rumors you believe...Some guys already said Clippers offered their two picks before night's draft.
Also, Philly offered a combo of young guys that could help a lot now and in the future, plus Jabari Young tweeted that Sixers were Kawhi's agent 2nd option after L.A.
The Spurs had options but I guess they didn't want to send him to L.A./Philly/cities/markets his agent and fam liked.
Anyway, the Spurs will make playoffs.
I said the same last regular season when some fans panicked after the loss vs Lakers, we shouldn't worry, this team will get a PO's spot without doubt.

I think they'll make it. Murray as a starter last year didn't move the needle much for the Spurs in terms of creating wins. If the Spurs don't lose anyone else I think they'll still be ok. And by OK, I mean they'll be first round playoff fodder...again.
The Clippers were for last draft, that wouldn't get them more lottery picks in 2019. Even the Clippers picks weren't great, one of them probably would have been Walker anyway
Philly's offer was never clear, but could have been as weak as Saric, Bayless and future firsts. MAYBE they could have had Covington instead of Bayless, but even that wouldn't be better than DD and Poeltl.
I would have preferred forcing Kawhi to sit out. They didn't get enough from Toronto. But looking at all the other deals, what they got was the best. Every team had plenty of time to put a better offer together. Nobody offered much. Lakers wouldn't even include Ingram or Kuzma if LA reporting was accurate Boston wouldn't include Brown or Tatum. Phoenix wouldn't trade the #1 pick.
And I don't see any good lotto picks available for Aldridge, sadly.
