Spurs might win/lose this game (fun game, BTW, it's end of 3rd quarter, down 2 right now), but while obviously there's two PGs injured, there's absolutely no reason to play a Patty-Forbes backcourt, barring foul trouble. You can stagger Patty-Beli, Forbes-DDR back courts, and while neither Belir or DDR are really defensive specialists, they bother more just on their size alone.

Nothing to panic about, especially on Game 1, but will be interesting how this subplot progresses over the season, especially with Murray apparently out for the season.

They pulled out the win so perhaps Pop isn’t going to be dissuaded from the combo yet.

When Lonnie comes back he will be our mini D Wade savior. Then we will just have one of Patty/Forbes or White out there as PG and will be much better defensively.

Cracks me up when people say Bryn is actually okay defensively and always makes the right rotation.

That may be but you can tell the guy he's guarding lights up like a ing christmas tree when they see Forbes guarding them.

Doesn't matter if you have your hand up or you make the right rotation when the guy you're guarding has all the confidence in the world tbh...

Everyone hates Forbes. Fair enough. But I like Forbes better than Mills tbh.
2014 Mills is dead. He has no good will left with me. I remember he was so Damn awful in 2016 I was actually happy, happy with how bad he was in the playoffs because I knew he would not be getting a new contract. Boy was I wrong.

Yes staggering those pairs like that is the way to go. I loved the fourth quarter, that followed this thought of yours, and thought DDR and LMA were great. Beli makes a great back-up for DDR.

I don't hate either, tbh, I just think the sum of both offensively doesn't give back nearly enough what they give up defensively. It's not that they don't try on defense, it's just that they don't have the tools.

No team realistically has 5 superior defensive players on all the time, but while hiding a bad, undersized defender might be achievable, hiding two of those is damn hard.

I can’t see any reasonable combo right now.
Of the healthy, it’s just flat out horrid.

    We have no PG.
we had a couple of 10-12 minute Point guards last season.
This is going to be such a grind. Pop teams can grind.

This roster will have to hide at least 2 at all times tbh, sometimes 3...4.....
