Kerr shot a really high percentage, thats because he didnt take much threes, guys like Bird, Reg & Peja are top of my list because they fired away at the three open or contested....BOOM BABY!!!!![]()
Nobody thought Hornacek was a good three point shooter???
Mario Elie
Joe Dumars
Craig Ehlo
Dana Barros
Chris Mullin
Glen Rice
Trent Tucker
Danny Ainge
Fred Hoiberg
Just to add a few.
Not the greatest but good 3 shooters
Yeah he was but you already mentioned him.
Rom...as a Pacer fan, you would appreciate my choice of the Rifleman.![]()
No Doubt, Chuck was the .
You forgot the Rifleman....
EDIT: Wait.. no you didn't lol (sorry just saw it posted).
But he was a spur so leaving him off top lists was messed up...
trent tucker - craig hodges - both of them could shoot the lights out. jerry west would have lit up the 3-point line if he would have had it and I will go ahead and put JJ Re on this list because that dude might be the best shooter in the country. I am amazed when he misses.
If Re can do it in the Association, then I can give him props. As far as college shooters go, IMO, he is one of the best ever.
Don't forget about
Ricky Pierce (former Warrior and Sonic two-guard)
Drazen Petrovic (possibly the greatest Euro player of all-time...until Dirk came along)
Robert Horry (ya'll must've forgot)
Dale Ellis (former Mav, Spur and Sonic)
"Downtown" Fred Brown (former Seattle Sonic long distance gunner)
One final word on Drazen. Despite having both his life and career sut short in that tragic car accident, he finished his career by shooting 43% from behind the arc. The guy was lethal.
1) Reggie Miller--without a doubt #1
2) Steve Kerr--his experience speaks for itself
3) Larry Bird--Ditto
4) Robert Horry--I think Game 5 of the NBA Finals last year established his name on this list.![]()
Can't argue with that list.
Looks like Nash is an up and comer on this list too. According to NBA.com, he's already in the top six in all-time 3PT FG percentage. The top five are as follows:
Steve Kerr - 45.4%
Hubert Davis - 44.1%
Drazen Petrovic - 43.7%
Tim Legler - 43.1%
B.J. Armstrong - 42.5%
Reggie Miller is not a lock for best three point shooter ever. Don't confuse most prolific with the best.
I dont know if I would put anyone above the Legend - especially not Steve Kerr -- Reggie MIller - eh maybe but I don't think so - didn't a lot of his threes come with the shortened line ? I am not saying that he can't shoot with the best of them because he can but better than Larry ? - I just don't see it.
