    Okay,

Here are my two cents....Since I'm such a bad guy for starting Saints2006.com

    The Team should move.
Temp to San Antonio for the 2006 season.

Where no extra taxpayer money should be invested for the 2006 season.
The Alamodome will be used as is. No upgrades.

The NFL will then move the team to LA. For 2007 on....

But, sthe NFL ubsidizes the SuperDome to be rebuilt, and is given the Super Bowl on a every 4 year basis.

The next NO team will come at the same time as the 1st team from Mexico City. Making it a 34 team league. In 2012.

You stated pretty clear what your intentions were Pete. People either can't or won't understand it.

And they think parity is bad now, wait until the talent pool is diluted even further.

The owners seem pretty adamant about keeping it at 32. Could Mexico City and the "new" NO be relocations as well?

The present ownership is very happy with the current layout - no unbalanced schedules and every division has the same number of teams, with either traditional rivalries or geographical convienence factored into layout. Both Rozelle, before his passing, and Tagliabue have said that 32 is the perfect size for the NFL as well.

I think it will take a top-flight rival league to bring about expansion, and that won't happen anytime soon. Also, regarding Mexico City, there needs to be some massive education on the city for prospects and free agents. Do you think the average NFL player would rather play in Phoenix or Mexico City?
