PITTSBURGH -- A man accused of pretending to be Pittsburgh Steelers quarterbacks was fined $300.

Brian Jackson of Brentwood pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct charges yesterday.

Authorities say Jackson pretended to be quarterbacks Ben Roethlisberger and Brian St. Pierre to two women so he could date them. Jackson gave one of the women a signed football and signed Roethlisberger's name on a Steelers jersey owned by the woman's neighbor. A judge accepted Jackson's plea deal to a reduced charge because Jackson completed a psychological evaluation and has stayed away from his accusers.

Jackson showed up at Groft's house July 6, when he presented her with an autographed football, posed with neighbor Larry West for a picture, and then signed West's football jersey, the affidavit said. So it wasn't just a girl who was necissarily a fan, but the fan as well?

Authorities charged Jackson with criminal mischief for ruining the $75 jersey with a fake autograph. At least it wasn't an authentic one! When Groft got home from her date, West showed her a newspaper article about Roethlisberger. (Oh good, well at least he questioned it enough to do some research). She called Jackson's bluff and told him not to contact her anymore, but he continued to call her, the affidavit said.
