Manu and even TP are smart dudes, no doubt but do you guys think they looked at this roster and were like, "We're too old to play for a bunch of scrubs" and went their separate ways, tbh?

Manu retired. Gosh there's a gaggle of nitwits around here, who can't even understand somebody retiring.

Parker went elsewhere to be the backup pg. He was finished here as the starter. Nobody expected the injury to Murray. Parker, himself, had become a "scrub" here.

And you're one of those idiots, tbh. I'm pointing out that maybe this roster convinced Manu to retire more than any other factor.

If you can't understand somebody retiring you're brain damaged. What convinced Manu to retire was his age, you hopeless twit.

I think if Manu/TP thought the Spurs could contend this year they might have stuck around.

Agreed. Even if Murray had not gotten injured, I'm sure they would've hoped PATFO addressed other personnel issues before making their decisions. But when they realized they were standing pat, they left.

Manu doesn't play for anything less than a ring. Kawhi skipping town triggered his retirement.

TP is playing with scrubs, anyways. I don't think his ego allowed him to play behind Mills and Forbes. As much of a Parker detractor as I am, I can't blame him. That would make me sick to my stomach, too.

Of course, they did! Manu which was the main reason I was so happy when Manu said he is coming back two summers ago. Not that he was coming back, that he saw us as contenders. I am not sure Tony cared as much, he wanted play time.

Manu played to win his whole life, it seems that back to back seasons with a diminished team, being his last ones, convinced him to call it quits.
Clearly he didn't see a possibility to contend for a second straight season, along with the Pachulia's fiasco and decided it was time to move on.

Team wouldn't be as bad if Manu was still playing. I can easily see the team having a couple more wins right now with Manu on the roster. And that difference in wins is the difference between the playoffs and the lottery for us this season.

And before thinking I'm being a homer, bare in mind that having Manu would mean less Belinelli and less Mills, Forbes pairings. Even better, practically no Mills, Forbes, Belinelli lineups.
