The risk outweighs the reward by three country miles. I wouldn't touch that contract with a 30-foot pole.
Personally I would like to see if he can play in our system.

He isn't a leader like Royal Ivy
Look at his contract for the next four years. After the initial shock and hyperventilating, get back to us.
He isn't a leader like Jacque Vaughn
If bought out ... sure
No way. One of the most overrated PGs in the league. Definitely the most overpaid.
Pop would NEVER coach John Wall
Yeah, he doesn't have enough Paddy Mills in him.
The funny thing is that Wall is the player the Wizards would like to trade most. That contract is beyond hideous. If the Wizards are in 11th or below at the trade deadline, I think they actually would take a pu pu platter like Mills + Bertans + both firsts. You can build around Beal and Porter. (but is it Wall's current $19M salary that counts for trades?)
Not that the Spurs should, or would, want that awful contract. And there's also...
this.
Can we get Porter instead. Having no guards who can play both sides of the court is suicide.
Nope no thanks hard pass. We have Murray for now
he is an overrated cancer tbh. not even a top 5 pg in his own conference...
damn another PATFO critic getting pinked smh
He signed a supermax deal and then immediately got fat as . No thanks.
/thread.
Selfish player under a Max-Contract who is owed $91M over the last 2 years of his deal in 2020-22... BIG no to that. He also can’t shoot 3’s and doesn’t rebound.
Spurs would never.
no, but I would have no problem receiving Wiggins if Pop wanted to work on his development, with his age and natural talent, he could (actually he should) be a great player
Murray is having a better season than Wall... pass
He can't even play in Washington's system, and scraps with Beal regularly. He hasn't really done in the NBA, and his supermax is about to kick in. Nope.
No NBA court is ready for the weight of Fatty Mills and John Wall at the same time. Plus, I heard towel waiving isn't really his thing, no culture, etc.
Kyle Lowry will be available in 2020, fresh off a $33M season. I'd rather sign him if we're going after expensive free agents who won't make the team that much better. Although Lowry would be more impactful than Wall.
signing another career playoff choker past their prime sounds like a vintage PATFO move
